HOTEL QUINTA REAL AGUASCALIENTES

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Aguascalientes, meaning ‘hot springs,’ is a prosperous, modern metropolis with a hidden secret running beneath the town is a labyrinth of ancient underground tombs. The city’s pretty traditional colonial architecture is also very much in evidence, and no more so than at Hotel Quinta Real Aguascalientes. Constructed in the style of a traditional monastery complete with a stone faade, bell tower and arched walkways, the hotel does indeed provide an atmosphere of almost monastic tranquillity. As you relax beside the cool, cobalt-blue swimming pool, you can almost hear the ancient bell calling the faithful to prayer.
